ATC??? What's an ATC?
Artist Trading Cards (or ATCs) are miniature works of art the same size as baseball trading cards (21⁄2 by 31⁄2 inches). The ATC movement developed out of the mail art movement and has its origins in Switzerland. Cards are produced in various media, limited only by the imagination of the artist. Many ATCs take the form of collage and include found objects. Many ATCs are produced as limited editions and are so numbered: 1 of 12, 2 of 12, etc. True ATCs are traded or exchanged, never sold. Similar cards that are sold are called "art card editions and originals" (ACEOs).
